Ambassador Hua Junduo Calls on Chinese and Indian Women to Strengthen Exchanges and Cooperation

On the morning of July 6, Chinese Ambassador to India Hua Junduo was invited to attend the Annual Meeting of All India Women's Conference and the Inauguration of the Production-Cum-Training Center in New Delhi.

In his speech, Ambassador Hua expressed that the populations of Chinese and Indian women made up one third of the world women. Both of them were hard-working and diligent. They should play positive roles in families, societies and striving for women's rights and social status and make their own voices in the world woman affairs. He also hoped that China and India, with more than 1000 years' history of contacts, could further strengthen exchanges and cooperation in the areas of women's education, professional training, social welfare, medical and health work. He believed that the women of the two countries could learn from each other and play bigger roles in social life and international affairs to make contributions to the comprehensive development of the bilateral relations between China and India. The audience broke into rapturous applause for Ambassador Hua's speech

After the meeting, Ambassador Hua attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the Production-Cum-Training Center of the AIWC and presented the AIWC with gifts on behalf of the All-China Women's Federation. During the meeting, Ambassador Hua met with the Chief Minister of Delhi Sheila Dikshit.
