CAIFC and RGF Jointly Host Book Release

At the invitation of Indian Rajiv Gandhi Foundation (RGF), a delegation from the China Association for International Friendly Contact (CAIFC) headed by Vice President Xing Yunming paid a visit to India from July 14 to 21.

 

On July 21, the delegation and RGF jointly hosted a book release function entitled "Future Negotiation Issues at WTO: An India-China Perspective " in New Delhi. Indian Commerce and Industry Minister Kamal Nath and Chinese Ambassador to India Hua Junduo were present at the ceremony. Minister Nath spoke highly of the contributions made by RGF and CAIFC to improve friendship and cooperation between the two countries. This time they chose an important research topic and made achievements. He noted that both as WTO members and big developing countries, India and China had many shared interests and were facing many common challenges. It was necessary for India and China to strengthen coordination and cooperation so that WTO could safeguard the interests of developing countries including India and China in a fairer and more effective way. Ambassador Hua also delivered a speech at the ceremony.

 

After the ceremony, the RGF Chairperson and Indian Congress Party President Sonia Gandhi warmly met with the delegation at her residence.
