In celebration of the approaching 55th anniversary of the People's Republic of China on 1st October 2004, we have the pleasure to present you an interesting prize competition-'China 101'.

This competition, starting from now on till 31st October 2004, provides you an opportunity of learning more about China and winning special prizes by answering simply 20 multiple-choice questions, the answers to which could all be found at the website: www.chinaculture.org.

Question sheets of the competition are available at the website: www.chinaculture.org. We will also give some copies out during a series of functions being held by the Embassy in September and October 2004.

All answers are supposed to be received by the Cultural Office no later than 31st October 2004 by email (china101_india@yahoo.com.cn) or by post-mail (Cultural Office, Embassy of the People's Republic of China, 50-D, Panchsheel Marg, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi-110021). All entries are required to provide complete contact information, including: name, address and phone number, etc along with the answers.

An awarding ceremony will be held in mid November at the Cultural Office of the Chinese Embassy, New Delhi. Representatives of winners, who gave the most correct answers to the questions, will be invited to attend the ceremony and awarded with prizes from China especially for this competition. The rest of winners will also gain prizes being posted by the Cultural Office of the Embassy.
