Ambassador Hua Junduo and Wife Host Farewell Reception

On the evening of November 8, H.E. Mr. Hua Junduo, Chinese Ambassador to India and his wife hosted a farewell reception in New Delhi. Indian government officials from both the Ministry of External Affairs and other departments, H. R. Surjeet, CPI (M) General Secretary and Sitaram Yechury, CPI (M) Politburo Member, were present at the reception. The reception was also attended by some 350 friendly personages from the circles of politics, economy, culture, education, science and technology and media, along with diplomatic envoys and diplomats in India, representatives of Chinese companies, news agencies, Chinese students in India, Chinese Indians and overseas Chinese. The atmosphere of the reception was friendly and ardent. Ambassador Hua thanked the friendly Indian personages for their contributions to the promotion of China-Indian relationship and hoped that they could keep on making efforts to strengthen the cooperation between the two countries in various fields. All the guests at present felt happy and encouraged by the good development momentum of China-India ties in recent three years, made high appraisal of Ambassador Hua's efforts and remarkable achievements in furthering the friendship between China and India and wished Ambassador Hua to make more achievements in his new post. Ambassador Hua and his wife talked with friends about their reluctance to part and wished the improvement and development of the friendly China-India ties and the everlasting friendship between the two peoples.
