On the occasion of the 58th National Day of China and the 315 days to the 2008 Beijing Olympic games, the Chinese Ambassador to India, Mr. Sun, Yuxi held a reception at the Chinese Embassy in New Delhi on September 28, 2007. Mr. Pallam Raju, Minister of State for Defense of India, along with more than 400 dignitaries attended the function.

In his speech, Ambassador Sun praised the recent development of Indo-China relations and expressed his heartfelt welcome to Indian friends to go to China for the 2008 Beijing Olympic games. An exhibition of 80 photos about the preparations for the 2008 Beijing Olympic games was held at the same time and won high appreciation from the guests.
