On behalf of the Chinese Red Cross Society, Mr. Zhang Yan, Ambassador of China to India met with Dr. S.P. Agarwal, Secretary General of the Indian Red Cross Society on May 28, 2009 and handed over a cheque of 14.1 Lakh (USD30,000) for the relief work of West Bengal cyclone disaster.

    Dr. S.P. Agarwal expressed sincere thanks to the Chinese Red Cross Society for the generous donation and promised to put the fund into full use.
