Wang Jiarui Meets with India's JDU Delegation

On September 13, 2012, Minister Wang Jiarui of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee met with a delegation of the Janata Dal (United) of India led by the Party's Chairperson Sharad Yadav.

Wang said that with this year being observed as the Year of China-India Friendship and Cooperation, the two countries have seen more exchanges and cooperation in all areas. The Minister pointed out that as the two largest developing countries and two major powers in Asia, China and India face many similar challenges and opportunities. He stated that the Communist Party of China is willing to further tighten exchanges and cooperation with the Janata Dal (United) and other friendly parties in India, with a view to deepening the China-India strategic and cooperative partnership.

Yadav said that the India-China friendship enjoys a long history, and that the enhanced friendship and cooperation between the two countries is in the common interest of both sides, hoping that the exchanges and cooperation between the Janata Dal (United) and the CPC will serve as another important boost to India-China relations.
